Remapping and Dyno Disclaimer

Rolling Road / Dyno

At Dark Road Performance, your safety and the integrity of your vehicle are our top priorities. Please take note of the following before proceeding:

  • Pre-Testing Responsibility: Verify oil and water levels before Dyno testing.
  • Engine Condition: Ensure the vehicle's mechanical soundness.
  • Possible Engine Failures: Verify the vehicle's mechanical condition to prevent damage or failure during testing.

Recommended Customer Checklist for Pre-Dyno Testing

  • Oil and Water Levels: Check and ensure recommended levels.
  • Regular Maintenance: Confirm the vehicle is up-to-date on regular maintenance.
  • Check for Leaks: Inspect the vehicle for any fluid leaks.
  • Tire Condition: Ensure tires are properly inflated and have sufficient tread.
  • Fuel Quality: Use high-quality fuel for optimal engine performance.
  • Check for Fault Codes: Scan for any stored fault codes using an OBD-II scanner.
  • Visual Inspection: Inspect the engine bay for visible issues.
  • Cooling System: Ensure the cooling system is functioning properly.
  • Drive Belts: Inspect drive belts for signs of wear or damage.
  • Battery Health: Check the battery's condition and ensure it is properly charged.

Part Supply

We want to clarify our stance on parts supplied by customers:

  • Liability on Customer-Supplied Parts: We do not assume liability for failed parts provided by customers. For optimal results, we recommend parts be directly supplied and fitted by Dark Road Performance.
  • Manufacturer's Warranty: If a part supplied and fitted by us fails, it is covered by a 1-year manufacturer's warranty. Any alteration or attempted repair outside Dark Road Performance will void this warranty.
  • Third-Party Performance Parts: If customers install performance parts from parties unrelated to Dark Road Performance after a vehicle remap, liability for the installed parts transfers to the vehicle owner.

Emissions Tampering Notice

Off-Road Use Advisory: Installation of decats, DPF deletes, or any other emissions tampering will render the car suitable for off-road use only. Please comply with local regulations and use such modifications responsibly.

Remapping / Performance Parts / Maintenance and Repair

  • Warranty Voidance: Any modification to ECU’s or parts differing from the OEM will void the vehicle's warranty.
  • Health Check and Tuning Refusal: We reserve the right to refuse tuning if engine and vehicle health are not feasible for alteration. No warranty is given or implied, and we do not accept liability for mechanical failure during or after tuning.
  • Mechanical Failure Possibility: Post-tuning, the vehicle may experience mechanical failure. Regular maintenance, including oil top-ups, high-quality fuel, and frequent check-ups, is crucial. Addressing pre-existing issues before tuning is advised.
  • Limited Liability for Serviceable Parts: We do not take liability for mechanical nor electric parts like Turbos, Clutches, Gearboxes, DPF, and Boost Leaks. Stages 1, 2, and 3 are beyond the recommended scope of tolerance on engines.
  • Dyno Figures and Testing Conditions: Figures produced by our rolling road are subject to environmental factors. We vouch for accuracy and consistency in our regulated tests.
  • Adjustment and Restoration: Any adjustment to the map or restoring the vehicle to its factory state is possible upon customer request. We reserve the right to refuse restoration if the vehicle has alterations affecting our work.
  • Post-Remapping Maintenance: Regular interval servicing post-remapping is recommended. Mechanical failure voids the warranty if supplied by us.
  • Revision Policy: After a remap, the customer is entitled to a single revision in the first week. After this revision, a £300.00 charge per session applies.

Revision Policy

After a remap, the customer is entitled to a single revision of their tune in the first week of the car's return. This includes adjustments to power adaptation within reason, or removal of the tune entirely. After this revision, a £300.00 charge per session applies.

Reasons pertain to, but are not limited to: Underperformance, abnormal car responsiveness, complications with the software, and the runnings of the car. All must be assessed by Dark Road Performance for work/alteration to continue upon successful diagnosis.
